Youth Recreational Climbing Programs

Our kids climbing programs introduce children to the joys and benefits of rock climbing through guided activities, challenges, and play.  Within the instructed learning space, climbers will be encouraged to explore their abilities, gain confidence, and build each other up.

Geckos - Ages 2 to 4 Years Old (With Parents)

At Hangout, not only do we understand the energetic nature of kids, but we designed the space with it in mind.  Through this 8-week program, Gecko climbers will be given an opportunity to climb through play-based activities. Shoes will be provided (indoor shoes are acceptable as well).

Cost:

$150-Class Only

$195-Climbing class plus a discounted membership for the full 8 weeks of class

Monkeys - Ages 5 to 8 Years Old

This 8-week program is for climbers hoping to have fun and learn new skills.  All classes will include climbing games, technical skill building, harnessed/ rope climbing, and free climb time.  Participants will be encouraged to set goals, work on challenges, and practice positive reflection of themselves and each other.

Mountain Goats - Ages 9 to 12 Years Old

This 8-week program is designed to help children of all abilities to make new friends and become better at climbing. Participants will be split into groups (by age) of no more than six climbers - each with a dedicated coach - for the entirety of the program. Additionally, athletes in the Mountain Goats program will be introduced to a variety of challenges that will potentially lead to being invited to the climbing team.

Big and Littles

A great time for a parent(s) with a young child(ren) to come and climb at the gym. There will be a play-based climbing program to keep your little ones entertained while another coach will be helping parents with their climbing.

Requirements: At least one adult with a child. Extra adults or children welcome.

TBD Sundays 9 - 10 AM

Cost: $295 For one parent and child pair-Climbing class only

$65 For each additional parent or child-Climbing class only

additional $35 each for a discounted membership during the program
